FLORIDA HOMESCHOOL EVALUATION VIA ZOOM
$30 PER CHILD
Email me at AskMichelleS@gmail.com to schedule your annual homeschool evaluation. Florida law allows for several options for homeschooling families to complete their annual evaluation. One option requires that a certified teacher affirm that the homeschooled student is "making progress commensurate with their ability." This is the service that I provide.
*You will email me work samples several months apart in math and language arts to show progress was made in those areas. I will then meet with you and your child on Zoom, and your child can tell me about a book they read or something they enjoyed learning. If you have questions about homeschooling, standardized testing, or transferring into a public or private school, I can answer those during the Zoom meeting.
I will email you an invoice for $30 per child. Once paid, I will email you the completed evaluation form that is accepted in any county in Florida. You will then send that form to your county.
You're done until next year! If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to email me.
*If your child has special needs and you need an alternative method to show progress, we can work that out on an individual basis.

I have been working with children for over 20 years. I began as a camp counselor in high school, and then founded a tutoring program for at-risk youth while I was an engineering student at Georgia Tech. I homeschooled my children while moving around with my husband's military career, and then became a Florida certified teacher once settled in Pinellas county. I have experience teaching in public school, Florida Virtual School, and private school. My seven children range in age from infant to high school, and they have been in public, private, and home school. I have special interests in gifted education and dyslexia. I love helping other families find the best educational fit for their children.
